We should well realize that every single occupation contributes in some way to our society, our economy and our country, and that no job should be treated as unnecessary, unbecoming or undignified. Living in a civilized society that has come a long way in terms of cultural development and modern thinking, we should pride ourselves on being mature and humane, and should treat each and every human being as equal, and we should not look down on someone simply because of the kind of job they are involved in, as in some way that particular job, in some direct or indirect way, serves us. We should treat all workers equally, as is stipulated by law, irrespective of the nature of the job, age, gender, race or religion.
Discrimination against people with disabilities, or those belonging to different nationalities or religion, is inhumane to say the least, and instead of looking at it from a political or societal angle, it should just be looked at in the simple view that we are all humans, and we all deserve the same rights, and rights don’t only include pay or work benefits, it also includes the way you are treated as a person, and the kind of respect that is given to you.
Needless to say, we all deserve the same respect, although the job structure, hierarchies and the ‘employer-employer’ relationship has dictated that some should be given a different status than others, which is all well and good in the business world, considering it’s what makes the system work. This being said, it should be realized and moreover, acknowledged that everyone’s job has a value, and no one should be thought of differently simply because their job could be considered ‘lowly’.
While this may seem to drift directly and exclusively into the corporate world and that of businesses, it spreads far wider than that. Oftentimes, we look differently upon garbage collectors, plumbers, electricians or masons simply because their line of work is not as ‘prestigious’ as ours, or doesn’t give them the same status.
They provide us with a service, and we should therefore realize that we have no right to discriminate, as there is nothing lost in being kind and generous to everyone, whether they are the people fixing our drains like plumbing services Fremantle or the gardeners cleaning our garden. They deserve the same respect we lavish upon our peers or those above us.
Within, or outside the working environment, everyone should be treated with the same care, and should be appreciated equally for their work. To view more about plumbers and their services please visit http://kernowplumbing.net.Read More
